How it all began….

Sol Ave. Kitchen opened on 1st Avenue North Moorhead (NOMO) in August of 2019 and is the second restaurant concept for business partners Nikki Berglund and Ryan Nitschke. After several years of continued success at Luna Fargo, Nikki & Chef Ryan couldn't wait to become a part of the growing business community on the other side of the river. 

With support from this thriving Moorhead neighborhood, the dream of opening a new and unique style of restaurant became a reality. Sol Ave. Kitchen is a fast casual concept, serving globally and thoughtfully inspired street food with a Midwest twist to make you feel good.  Happy Food!

Excited to live next door to long term friends and collaborators, Junkyard Brewing Company, Sol Ave. Kitchen brings you a refreshing new concept that reflects the hip sensibilities and feel good vibes of the surrounding area while also paying tribute to community sustainability. The neighborhood kitchen uses locally sourced ingredients from area farmers with the intention of serving high quality food from scratch in a casual environment.  

'Whether it's good eats, a glass of wine, or a beer, we are here to serve not only the brewery clientele but also the entire Moorhead community.  And our friends from Fargo are welcome too.'
